This program is for families, ages 6 and over, stresses fundamentals and focuses on the nature of horses. We say that horses are not “big dogs,” they are “giant rabbits.” Teaching children and families that horses, despite their large size, are prey animals and no different than rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, and hamsters, adds to their understanding of the importance of earning their trust and respect.
Parents are welcome to attend the session and learn along with their child!
Horse 101 sessions are held Saturday mornings at 9am. Please check our Facebook page for updates or email us at email@example.com. You will gain the most from this experience if you do this session together.
Horses4Heroes and Victory Riding Academy believe in introducing children to horses and farm animals as young as possible.
HorsePlay is our toddler/preschooler program that introduces children, ages 18 months to 6 years, to horses, horseback riding, horsemanship, and horse and animal care. Since many of our families have two to four kids, we offer family-friendly group rates whenever possible. For families with older siblings, we offer HorsePlay Plus, which allows us to give arena lessons to the older kids or parents while the younger kids participate in HorsePlay. (Think Gymboree vs. Gymnastics!)
HorsePlay was featured in the December 2012 issue of Horse & Rider.
At Victory Riding Academy, “what happens at the ranch, stays at the ranch” during our weekly Ladies Unbridled riding sessions!
Ladies Unbridled is a weekly “Ladies Only” riding session. We are looking for stay-at-home Military moms, wives with a deployed, injured or deceased spouse, young military wives and other ladies who would like or need a little “me” time with horses!
Membership in Horses4Heroes is NOT required to participated in Ladies Unbridled.
