Volunteer of the Month Award
VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers are the heart of Victory Riding Academy. They give their time, energy, and compassion to make every session possible, creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for our clients and horses. From leading horses and assisting in sessions to caring for our facilities and offering a friendly smile, volunteers help transform challenges into achievements and moments of effort into moments of success. Their dedication not only keeps our programs running smoothly, but also builds a strong sense of community where our clients gain confidence, independence, and peace. Simply put, without our volunteers, the life-changing work we do would not be possible.

Session Support Volunteer
Session Support Volunteers assist facilitators during Equine Assisted Learning sessions by helping ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. Responsibilities may include assisting participants, supporting horse handling as directed, preparing materials, and helping sessions run smoothly so participants can focus on learning, connection, and growth.

Stall & Pen Care Volunteer
Stall & Pen Care Volunteers play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our horses and participants. By cleaning stalls and pens, refreshing bedding, and supporting daily barn upkeep, these volunteers help ensure the well-being of our animals and create a welcoming space where Equine Assisted Learning sessions can take place safely and effectively.

Facility Maintenance Volunteer
Facility Maintenance Volunteers help keep our property safe, functional, and welcoming for participants, volunteers, and horses. Duties may include basic repairs, upkeep of buildings and grounds, and general maintenance. This role is essential in creating a safe environment where Equine Assisted Learning sessions and community activities can take place without interruption.

Fun Committee Volunteer
Fun Committee Volunteers help bring joy and connection to our community by assisting with events, fundraisers, and our annual gala. From planning and decorating to supporting event-day activities, gathering silent auction items, and sponsors, this role helps create meaningful, engaging experiences that strengthen relationships and support our mission.
Do you know your Why?
It’s an important question to ask yourself, especially as you consider volunteering at Victory Riding Academy.
Your Why is the reason that inspires you to show up. It’s what motivates you, grounds you, and keeps you going, even on challenging days. We encourage all of our volunteers to take time to reflect on their Why.
As you become involved in sessions and programs, we’re confident your list of Whys will continue to grow. The impact you experience, and the connections you make, often deepen your purpose.
This idea doesn’t stop here. Apply it to your everyday life. Find your Why, hold onto it, and return to it when times get tough.
We hope this reflection helps guide and encourage you on your journey.
