VRA Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) program is an experiential, educational approach designed to support K–12 students in developing essential life skills through interactions with horses. Grounded in principles of social-emotional learning, the EAL program helps students build confidence, improve communication, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and enhance teamwork, all in a hands-on, engaging environment. Activities are handcrafted to be age-appropriate and align with educational goals, offering students a unique opportunity to learn about responsibility, empathy, and leadership. By working with horses, who respond to body language and emotional energy, students gain immediate feedback that helps reinforce positive behaviors and foster personal growth both inside and outside the classroom.
